The desire to merge human and animal into one creature has fascinated artists for centuries. From jackal-headed gods of the afterworld to mermaids and werewolves, hybrids have evolved through folklore and myth into modern culture. Working from live models, students will learn anatomy and engage in storytelling while creating unique anthropomorphic human hybrids. Works will be created in clay and finished with a variety of cold patina techniques.
