SLAB BUILDING WITH EARTHENWARE 

Personalize your hand-built forms using custom bisque molds and the studio’s plaster mold collection. In this low-fire class, students will learn how to make custom molds for use throughout the session, and will then learn how to create customized templates for slab building with the molds. A variety of surface treatments will be demonstrated, including the use of slips and terra sigillata, custom sprigs, and appliques. All pieces will be fired to cone 03 in the studio’s low-fire electric kilns and will be food safe when complete.
