From the publisher: The Best We Could Do, a 2017 illustrated memoir, chronicles Thi Bui's parents’ life before and during the Vietnam War, their escape from Vietnam, and their eventual migration to the United States as refugees. This book discussion is in collaboration with the Kalamazoo Public Library's Reading Together 2022 program.
