Has the idea of weaving pictures always interested you? This beginning tapestry weaving class would be perfect to get you started. Students will learn the basic tapestry joins and different ways to shade and blend yarns using adjustable tension frame loom, either your own or one furnished by the instructor. Discussions will include making a cartoon or plan for a tapestry, and how to transfer the design to the warp threads. No prior weaving experience is needed. Returning students can focus on using their skills to complete a small tapestry or exploring further techniques. Class fee includes use of an adjustable frame loom and all warp and weft yarns need for the samples.
