NATURAL DYEING: YELLOWS, BLUES & GREENS

Join us for an exploration of natural dyes in the yellow-green-blue range. We will experiment with a range of natural dyes which produce yellow shades of color. These may include plants you can grow locally plus dye materials from other parts of the world. We will mordant yarn and fabric samples using several mordants and then dye the samples with shades of yellow. In the second week, we will make an indigo vat and overdye the yellow samples for a brilliant range of greens.
