Explore unconventional combinations of fiber and metal and new ways to incorporate inexpensive copper wire to create jewelry structures, findings, and mixed media assemblages. Explore the application of traditional fiber techniques to metal. Methods include: Viking Knit, crochet, and knitting with wire. We will discuss past and contemporary artists while working with metal wire in a new way. We will complete several projects and/or create components for future work. Bring a few beads, if you have them.
