Exploring Surrealism in Sculpture

Engage with the power of intuitive connections and dream imagery by exploring surrealism as a root for an interdisciplinary sculpture. Participants will work to develop personal motifs (animals, symbols, settings) as well as to gain technical skills in clay. These symbols will be used to create an interdisciplinary sculpture anchored in surrealism. Demonstrations will be accessible to all skill levels and will focus on developing hand building skills, developing ideas, and exploring alternate finishing techniques including paint, glaze, encaustic and fibers.
