Explorations in Red Earthenware

Prerequisite: Beginning Potter’s Wheel or Equivalent

Bring vibrant color and layered surfaces to your hand-built or wheel-thrown forms as you explore the studio’s low-fire red earthenware clay. Demonstrations will focus on surface treatments using slips and terra sigillata. Students will learn how to mix a custom color palette with Mason stains to decorate their work
