Conversations with Art

During this eight-week course, participants will build their comfort level with analyzing and discussing artworks. This class will be held in a workshop format: we will meet in the galleries and use artworks in the KIA’s collection to explore art historical topics and to demonstrate a variety of strategies for talking about art. Participants will build confidence and learn skills that can be applied in any museum setting. Participants who successfully complete the course will be eligible to lead tours for visitors of all ages and may apply to join the KIA’s docent program.
