BOTANICALS, CYANOTYPES WITH ENCAUSTIC
Combining two historic processes, the 19th-century photo process of cyanotype and the ancient craft of beeswax and resin of encaustic, make a one-of-a-kind, work of art. Arrange grasses, ferns, or flowers to be placed on hand-coated watercolor paper and exposed in the sun. Dried prints will be prepped and worked on in the encaustic studio, layering wax, and hand-coloring to create a dimensional dreamlike image.
