Book Discussion - Mona's Eyes by Thomas Schlesser

Wednesday April 15

Other dates...

2:00 PM  –  3:00 PM

When ten-year-old Mona experiences a sudden, brief loss of sight, her grandfather Henry decides to give her a gallery of artworks to visit in her mind as she faces potential permanent blindness.  Through fifty-two weekly trips to museums in Paris, Mona receives an emotional art history education.  Art lessons become tied to life lessons on love, fear, and beauty. Their relationship strengthens as Henry gives Mona more than a deep appreciation of art.

The Meader Fine Arts Library is a free resource open to the public during operation hours. The library is open Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 11am-3pm.  Books are available on loan for members.
