Every life is a unique experience but what commonalities unite us? How can our personal stories be relatable? Books, music, art—we may view these differently, yet we relate to common themes. Gabbert considers how these perceptions influence our understanding in regard to artforms. These 16 essays look at who we are when we read a good book or see interesting art. These essays also grapple with how time and memory influence that experience. Join us to discuss these essays in conversation with themes showcased in Sourced from the ‘Zoo. We will meet in the gallery and look at pieces on display during our discussion.

The Meader Fine Arts Library is a free resource open to the public during operation hours. The library is open Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 11am-3pm.  Books are available on loan for members.
