6:00 PM  –  7:00 PM

In honor of World AIDS Day, a distinguished panel will discuss the legacy of artists like Felix González-Torres and Jordan Eagles who use their work to explore the impact of HIV and AIDS on our society. Panelists include Xuxa Rodriguez, Assistant Curator of Contemporary Art at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art; Eric Shiner, independent curator and board member of Visual AIDS; and Dr. Tamayi Bwititi, a family care physician at Bronson Healthcare in Kalamazoo. This panel conversation will explore how artists continue to use their artworks to make powerful statements about the stigmas attached to homosexuality and AIDS.
