This event is no longer on sale.

Tuesday May 23

12:00 PM  –  1:00 PM

The West Michigan Area Show is an annual juried exhibition showcasing exceptional work in all media since the 1960s. The exhibition draws hundreds of entries each year from a 14-county region, and an experienced juror selects the works that will be included in this dynamic exhibition of regional artists.

The juror for the 2023 West Michigan Area Show is Alison Wong. She joins us for this ARTbreak to share her experiences as a curator, educator, and artist, along with how each influences the other. Wong is the Director and Curator at Wasserman Projects, as well as an adjunct faculty member at the College for Creative Studies, both located in Detroit, MI. She holds an MFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art and a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, each with a focus in painting.
