Helanius J. Wilkins, a nationally renowned dance artist from Boulder, Colorado, will present “The Dance of Social Justice,” a lecture and demonstration introducing his new work, “The Conversation Series, Stitching the Geopolitical Quilt to Re-body Belonging.” From the award-winning choreographer, performance artist, innovator, and educator, this performance incorporates local community involvement and history and will be presented in Kalamazoo and each of the 50 states. For this special ARTbreak, the presentation will last one hour, with an extra 30 minutes devoted to Q&A with the artist.
